This simple yet flavorful dish is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients, making it a perfect addition to your daily meals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup apples, diced
  • 1 cup bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup guava, diced
  • 1 cup oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 1 cup grapes, halved
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 cup papaya, diced
  • 1/2 cup melon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chaat masala
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fruits:

    • Wash and peel all the fruits as necessary. Dice or slice them into bite-sized pieces. Make sure to remove any seeds or pits from the fruits like guava and grapes.
  2. Mix the Fruits:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the prepared fruits. Make sure to mix gently so that the fruits do not get mashed.
  3. Prepare the Dressing:

    • In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, chaat masala, sugar (if using), black salt, roasted cumin powder, and black pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Combine and Toss:

    • Pour the prepared dressing over the mixed fruits. Toss everything gently to ensure the fruits are evenly coated with the spicy, tangy dressing.
  5. Chill and Serve:

    • Let the Fruit Chaat chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.

Serving Suggestions:

Pakistani Fruit Chaat is best enjoyed as a refreshing snack, a side dish, or even a light dessert. It can be served cold or at room temperature, making it perfect for any occasion.
