Pakistani Egg Burger
Introduction:
Pakistani Egg Burger, also known as "Anda Burger," is a street food delicacy enjoyed by people of all ages. This burger is a fusion of traditional Pakistani flavors with a Western twist. The simplicity of ingredients, combined with flavorful spices, makes it a favorite quick meal. In this recipe, we’ll guide you through creating a delicious and authentic Pakistani Egg Burger that is perfect for breakfast or an evening snack.
Ingredients:
- Eggs: 4 large
- Burger Buns: 4
- Onion: 1 small, thinly sliced
- Tomato: 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Green Chili: 1-2, finely chopped
- Fresh Coriander: 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt: To taste
- Black Pepper: 1 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder: ½ teaspoon
- Cumin Powder: ½ teaspoon
- Chaat Masala: 1 teaspoon
- Mayonnaise: 4 tablespoons
- Ketchup: 4 tablespoons
- Butter or Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Cheese Slice (Optional): 4 slices
Instructions:
Prepare the Egg Mixture:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them well.
- Add salt, black pepper, red chili powder, cumin powder, and chopped green chili to the eggs. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the chopped coriander to the mixture and set aside.
Cook the Eggs:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or oil in a non-stick frying pan on medium heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan and cook it like an omelet. Flip to cook both sides evenly.
- Once the omelet is fully cooked, divide it into 4 portions (1 portion for each burger).
Prepare the Burger Buns:
- Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them in the same pan with a little butter until golden brown.
Assemble the Burger:
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- Place one portion of the cooked egg on the bun.
- Add a slice of cheese (optional), followed by onion and tomato slices.
- Sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala on the veggies for added flavor.
- Spread ketchup on the top half of the bun and place it over the burger.
