For Bhalla (Lentil Dumplings):  

- 1 cup **moong dal (yellow lentils)** – soaked overnight  

- ½ cup **mash dal (urad dal)** – soaked overnight  

- 1 teaspoon **salt**  

- ½ teaspoon **red chili powder**  

- ½ teaspoon **cumin powder**  

- ½ teaspoon **baking soda** (to ensure fluffy bhallas)

Step-by-Step Recipe – How to Prepare Dahi Bhalla;


#### Step 1: Make the Bhalla (Lentil Dumplings)  

1. Soak the moong dal and mash dal overnight in water.  

2. In the morning, drain and blend them in a **food processor** until you achieve a smooth, thick paste.  

3. Incorporate **salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, and baking soda** into the mixture and combine thoroughly.  


#### Step 2: Fry the Bhallas
